Reception for New Gordon Galleries Exhibit Set for Jan. 18

Old Dominion's Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries will feature a new exhibition of works by David Page from Jan. 18 to Feb. 17. The opening reception will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18.
Born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1962, Page earned a national diploma in fine arts from the School of Art and Design, Cape Technikon, in Cape Town, in 1986 and an M.F.A. from the University of Maryland in 2002. He is currently on the faculty of the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
His strongly provocative work, made from leather, wood, and canvas, is ominous yet elegantly constructed.
